The primary purposes of SARCH are to promote and support the preservation of historic buildings (particularly the Shankland House, home of the Andronicus Chapter of Alpha Rho Chi) and to carry on associated charitable and educational activities. By offering the house as a research subject, SARCH helps support not only the architecture students that inhabit the Andronicus Chapter House, but also the students enrolled in the Certificate and Masters of Historic Preservation Programs at the University of Southern California.
